"La creación" así denominaría yo a Tool, donde lo no convencional es lo natural. Un grupo que no se vende con la industria, ni la falsedad ni el periodismo, ellos son una criatura creada por ellos mismos a gusto y semejanza de su lider Maynard James Keenan.
Pocos grupos tienen el honor de tener un sonido tan peculiar y personalizado como Tool. Sonidos de Bajo que marca la canción a su antojo, una batería increíble, guitarra punzante y una voz endiablada. Letras siempre con mucho contenido referente a la sociedad corrompida por todo tipo de deseos o a la religión, pero con ese estilo tan suyo que no deja a la vista lo evidente, sino que te enseñan ese lado oscuro para que te devore.
El disco "Aenima" se compone de 15 canciones las cuales cada una de ellas son una parte de la criatura que crean en cada disco para que notes como nace en tu interior y que no puedas controlar.
"Aenima"es una pieza que reune desde metal hasta ambientes envolventes que nos recuerdan a Pink Floyd, momentos de decadencia y dolor que no son nada fáciles de escuchar para oídos noveles.
El disco empieza con "Stinkfist”" el primer single del disco, el nombre de la canción fue censurada por la MTV en sus videoclips. La canción contiene toda la esencia de Tool, es una critica a la continua sobre estimulación que recibimos todos con la cultura, los medios de comunicación, el consumismo etc... y que enfermamos por culpa de ello. "“Eulogy" es un tema con las mismas connotaciones que "Stinkfist" pero esta vez a la religión, concretamente al cristianismo y a las dependencias que le lleva a la gente a unirse a ella. Llevamos 2 temas y nos encontramos en estado de knockout de tanta singularidad de sensaciones y de registros vocales, matices sonoros de riffs y atmósferas creadas que no recuerdan a nada hecho hasta la fecha. "H" comienza dándote la sensación que va a seguir la misma dinámica que de sus 2 predecesoras, pero nos encontramos un tema "algo" más relajado con un Maynard que describe una canción de un amor deseado, donde los tonos de voz ondulan durante toda la canción poniendote la piel de gallina durante los mas de 5min que dura.

"46&2" es posiblemente el tema más furioso del disco y que representa a la banda, con un sonido de bajo de lo más característico que hace presencia durante toda la canción y que tan bien encaja, y sobretodo habría que destacar el final apocalíptico que tiene. Me quedado sin adjetivos, escuchar y valorarla. "Hooker with a penis”" y "“Jimmy”" vuelven a la carga con esas críticas sociales, temas de una extrema calidad tanto que podrían ser canciones "Hit" de cualquier otro grupo y que se ven algo ensombrecidas por las canciones que les viene encima. "Pushit" tiene un aura que me recuerda muchísimo a Pink Floyd, (siempre he dicho que si hay una banda que les haya influenciado en su trayectoria ha tenido que ser Pink Floyd), una de las canciones mas increíbles hechas por el ser humano, aunque tengo mis dudas que los componentes de Tool lo sean. Nos encontramos con los auténticos Tool. Los sonidos que saca Justin Cancellor acompañados de Danny Carey a mitad de la canción es de lo mejor que escuchado jamás en la vida, con unos riffs de Adam Jones que son la clave del éxito. "Pushit" son 10 min de misticismo, oscuridad y ocultismo con una composición de notas que se me hace imposible saber cuantas hacen cada segundo. Nos llega la canción del titulo del disco "Ænema", una canción que se a hecho de culto con el paso del tiempo, aquí Danny Carey se transforma en un monstruo virtuoso de la batería, sonidos muy caracteristicos que 5 años después nos haría con "Lateralus" y un Maynard susurrandote al oido que da miedo! donde no para de repetir “"Learn to swim”" haciendo referencias a una catástrofe mundial que sucederá sino hay un cambio y que desaparecerá todo lo que conocemos. Y acaba el disco con "Third Eye" la canción más larga de la banda casi 14 min de sonidos muy muy envolventes, con un mensaje que nos deja la canción muy espiritual.
El disco marcó un antes y un después a la hora de componer y hacer nuevos sonidos, con una manera y un estilo propio de unos músicos que se propusieron hacernos ver los desencantos de una sociedad que vivimos corrompida. Tool son una banda para escuchar, sentir y comprender.

Few groups have the honor of having a sound so unique and personalized as Tool bass sounds that makes the song at will, an amazing drummer, guitar and a voice throbbing devilish. Lyrics always with great content regarding society corrupted by all kinds of desires or religion, but with that style as yours that leaves the obvious sight, but they teach you that dark side to devour you.
The album "Aenima" consists of 15 songs which each is a part of the creature created on each disk to notes as born within you and you can not control."Aenima" is a piece that meets from metal to immersive environments reminiscent of Pink Floyd, and decay times of pain that are not easy to listen to novice ears.The album starts with "Stinkfist" The first single from the album, the name of the song was banned by MTV in their music.
