Hoy quiero rescatar el que fuera uno de los mejores discos del año 2010 y que paso totalmente desapercibido. Se trata de la superbanda Tired Pony y su "The Place We Ran From", pero entonces ¿quién a tenemos aquí? la banda esta formada por Snow Patrol + REM + Belle & Sebastian.
Los que oigan el disco destinguirán rápidamente la voz del lider de Snow Patrol, por su faceta emocional a la hora de cantarlas.
Independientemente de que el álbum puede ser visto como un éxito comercial. En general, el álbum se describe mejor como música con ligeros elementos del folk /rock, indie y rock tejido con country. "The Place We Ran From" contiene muchas influencias, pero las más notables son las influencias que tiene al genero de la música de raíz "Americana".

Temas sobresalientes como "Dead American Writers", "Get on the Road" y "The Good Book". "Dead American Writers" fue el primer single que se publicó del álbum, y aunque estoy
todavía sin enterarme de lo que significa esta canción sobre su título he llegado a la conclusión que no ofrece ninguna pista para averiguar. Interpreta tu propio deseo y dale el significado que tu creas.
Los dúos Lightbody\Zooey Deschanel como en la canción "Get on the Road" son tan perfectos que duelen en el alma escucharlos, mi corazon llora con esas voces tan
hermosas y melódicas. Este tema te conduce a la emoción más real en su contenido lírico con frases como:
"You are the drug that I can’t quit" y "Truth is like a punch or two". La
suavidad de la canción desaparece a mitad de ella como una vela que llega a su ocaso, y explotando de emocionalidad a su termino. Siento especial predilección con este tema, reconozco que soy un enamoradizo sentimental por naturaleza :-).
"Point me At Lost Islands", contiene un ritmo más optimista que "Get on the Road". Aunque la cancion representa el sonido de música mas country de todo el álbum, creo que esa fue la idea por parte para inspirarse a crear este disco.
Si vas a dar una oportunidad y escuchar este maravilloso disco, sientate, relajate y dejate llevar por Tired Pony en un viaje a lo largo de esa carretera llamada emoción.
